WordPress maintenance: your website monitored, backed up and kept up to date.
A WordPress website is not a finished object. WordPress, plugins and themes evolve regularly. Without follow-up, a site ends up slowing down, showing errors, or being needlessly exposed. Maintenance means looking after it regularly, so that you do not have to think about it.
What is included
- A check of the site once a monthA regular technical review, rather than an intervention once the problem has already set in.
- Updates to WordPress, the theme and the pluginsApplied when they are necessary and compatible with your site.
- A backup before any significant interventionSo that we can roll back if needed.
- A general checkSecurity, availability and proper operation.
- If an anomaly is detected: a diagnosisYou are told what was found, and what it means.
Not covered by the plan
Better to say it upfront: these interventions are not included in the subscription.
- Major intervention.
- Custom development.
- A redesign, or the addition of new features.
- A serious security incident, and the restoration that follows.
- Anything that falls to the host or a third-party service.
Interventions outside the scope of maintenance are quoted beforehand. Their timing depends on the nature of the problem and, where applicable, on the third-party services involved. The subscription covers regular follow-up, not an unlimited number of repairs.
Let’s talk about your project →
Who it is for
Sites I have built
Maintenance is the natural continuation of the project: I know the site, its theme and its settings.
Sites built elsewhere
That is possible, after a review: I first look at the state the site is in, and I tell you plainly whether monthly follow-up is enough or whether other work is needed.
Budget
The price depends on the size of the site and the number of plugins to follow. It is set after the review, and announced before starting.
After a free first conversation, with no commitment on your part.
When maintenance is no longer enough
A very old site cannot be repaired indefinitely. When the theme is no longer maintained, when the plugins are no longer compatible with each other, or when the structure itself is the obstacle, monthly follow-up amounts to maintaining something that ought to be rebuilt. In that case I tell you, and we look at a redesign instead.
Frequently asked questions about maintenance
Is there a minimum commitment?
The exact terms are set out in the quote, before starting. Nothing is committed until you have approved it.
What access do you need?
An administrator account on WordPress and, depending on the case, access to the hosting. This access remains yours: you can revoke it at any time.
Can I keep editing my site myself?
Yes, of course. Maintenance covers the technical side — updates, backups, checks — not your content, which you manage freely.
What if my site goes down?
Let me know: I look at what is happening and tell you what I find. If the repair falls outside the scope of the subscription, you receive a quote before any intervention. I do not promise a guaranteed turnaround, because it often depends on the host or a third-party service.
Is security guaranteed?
No, and nobody can seriously guarantee it. What maintenance provides is updates applied regularly, backups before intervention and a monthly check — in other words, what actually reduces the risk and makes it possible to roll back.
